PLAN:

Another unplanned trip , so obliviously some part of it had to be Epic. Ok 4/11/10 was a Thursday , so all theory classes , so mass bunk :P
10 am everybody escape… so we ended up near the bakery asusual sipping tea etc etc… we had the whole day ahead of us … so we had two plans in our mind
1) Go to a hotel and eat a heavy lunch.
2) Go to a place Nearby.
And we chose the latter … this decision took us 2 hrs to execute :D , 12 pm we left college towards destination unknown ( on SH 17) , I told others about a reservoir near Bidadi ( not manchinbele , now its like our native) so we decided to go there .

RIDE:

Well nothing much to say about the ride , it was our 5th OR 6th visit to the place… so it was just formalities… cruised along Mysore road to reach RRDC , took a right turn there and headed towards Big banyan tree ( Dodalladmara)
Wanted to stop at Bigbanyan , but realized that we could visit it on our way back. So headed further towards Manchinbele.

TRACTOR WHEELIE :

Vokay this was truly unbelievable , as we got the first glimpse of the place it was breath-taking… little did we know we would sight something else which wouldn’t take our breadth but Choke us :P :P
Entering manchinbele , we a saw a tractor lift the front two wheels up almost 60degree :O , we stood there with our jaws dropped in shock.

As the second one came by , wit was a little kid driving it … we requested him to do the wheelie , and this little kid did it even better about 80 degree… whew it was like we were imaging things… then the 3rd tractor came by .. we went a little overboard and asked whether we could sit on the tractor and then asked him to perform the wheelie :P
Well he couldn’t get it done , so we headed towards the water ..
TIME: 13:15

MANCHINBELE:

Well , the water level had decreased a lot , we had a long discussion whether to get down in the water or Trek up the hill…
The water at this place was never clean , so decided to trek. We had to park our bikes behind some bushes well hidden , and started off towards the mountains . it was quite an easy trek but then the rain god came into the picture.

It was about 2pm , and started raining heavily , dJ had “ ___meter” in his bag ( sorry forgot name) so gave my towel ( a must find in my bag :P) to wrap it up.
Then we stood under a tree for about 20mins , Chinta his STIG , fat guy`s, Megan Fox stories kept us well entertained. **BOWS DOWN**

The sight of savandurga was amazing , it was covered in mist , looked awesome :) . Then we trekked further up to reach a flat land. Hmmm it was a little different since our last visit to this place “ Manchinbele –The reunion” , But yea we walked further and reached the end… sat there for sometime and decided to head back.
The cool weather made the trek super non tiring . Heading back we checked our bikes and left towards namma bengaluroo :) :)

BIG BANYAN:

We reached here at about 3:15 pm , well nothing much is there at this place … so a small round at this place to wrap it up :D. We left BIG BANYAN at about 3:30 pm.
EPIC RIDE BACK:

Vokay here is the most thrilling part of this entire trip. As soon as we entered Mysore road , it started raining heavily. This was real heavy rains. Each droplet was like a thick bullet hitting our faces and chest… believe me that hurt !!
We thought of stopping at kengeri , but decided continue , SH-17 was literally in floods

Obstacle I :
It was becoming difficult to control the bike , finally , we reached Gopalan arch and headed further into Nayanhalli, then ashok and me decided to take a shortcut near a BP petrol bunk ,… So took a U-turn.. the next sight was something il never forget… there was huge amount of water flowing out of the petrol bunk…GULP!! This made all the potholes , humps , Stones , etc invisible…
It was a one shot go… taking a deep breadth , went off…. Finally after a few seconds in the mercy of the forceful water we made it out of it \m/
Obstacle II:
From then on we thought it was a walk in the park. Further we saw a car & scooter stopped near a small bridge… made my way through to sight the mother of all challenges for tat day…
Knee deep , flowing water over the bridge…ashok advised me to head back… But I thought I would give it a shot anyway. Started of at 20kmphr, taking care not to decelerate as water would enter into the Exhaust.
Everybody else were curiously looking at me whether I would screw up … that gave one more reason to cross it. After a min of hard time to keep the bike on course , made it out of it … took a look back at the people who had stopped smiled at all of them and headed further.
Whew what a felling it was… the other two bikes had taken the normal route… we all ended up at the bakery again shivering in cold , drenched totally , soaking wet .

Ordered some tea and snacks etc etc…
After having them headed back home , satisfied … it was a insane trip !! but the ride back is one hell ride I will surely remember…
Until Next time \m/

Place: TK Falls.
Distance: 30 x 2 = 60 kms (Total)
Spot : Falls , Trekk , mini-Forest.
Bikes : Avenger , Apache 150, FZ-16, GS 150, Discover,Unicorn(Black thunder), Pulsar 150 ( Black turtle).
Participants: Ashok > Arvi > Arun > Dany > Anoop > Abhishek > Endu > Anand > Chetan > Dherien > Manu > Shekar > Chinta > Sp
Directions: Kanakpura road> Kaaglipura(before APS college)> Left turn> 4kms Offroad> Tk falls.
Previous Visit : Talkad - The mega Trip.
Budget: Rs 50/head.

PLAN :
Okie this was one of those kinda 1st planned … last minute cancelled… then finally we do it kinda trips. This was done 7 days after the Epic Talkad trip.
12pm everybody sitting in the class busy making plans … around 14 people confirmed their spots… 12:45pm everybody assembled bakery…everybody were told to finish off their lunch near college as there was no good food available on kankpura road.

At about 2pm we left to fill petrol…some went to SHELL …ashok & myself went to a petrol bunk nearby… and filled it up.. and while coming back towards NICE road entrance… we were on the wrong side of the road… Suddenly a traffic police jeep comes( on the right side of the road :P)… ayyio I didn’t wanna get caught before the start of this trip only… I had to put my bike on the side pretended as though i was entering some building… and kept staring at the policemen :D….after they left Dany & me were the first to reach the NICE road entrance… within 10 mins everybody joined us.

RIDE:

Well the ride was a short one… on the NICE road it was smooth 70`s …10 minutes we were on Kanakpura road… from there the search for the falls began. We asked a few Locals … and took a left turn at Kaaglipura .. from there it was completely Offroad biking…
Muddy, Rocky. Slippery Road conditions made the controlling of bike difficult but Fun …Finally Dany & myself reached the place 1st… behind us everybody followed …dJ ,Manu, Anand, Arun, Endu…Time : 2:30pm

PLACE:

Ok as soon as we entered some Old lady came & told to leave with our bikes as police had come in the morning.. theft of a car …bla bla….We spoke to her properly realized tat she wanted parking money… and she wanted the payment then only… we told we would pay her latter… but she refused… finally spoke her and convinced her .

Ok back to the falls,… we had to walk 10-15mins from the entrance… we saw a huge rock far away with dried up water marks on it :(… it totally disappointing… but we could hear water flowing … so went further… well wat do u know..there was a waterfall and it was packing some force too ….Aaah worth it totally..washed our faces & freshened up.

TREK UP:

“Ok we saw the waterfalls but what’s above the Falls???” Haha That was the question on everybody’s mind…
It was a crazy plan, climbing up the rocks alongside the falls …so the trek started….. Arvi, Ashok, Endu, were all long gone… next batch was Chinta , Anand , Shekar… were right below then.. i.e the last group .. Po, me ( by default theslowpoke- Arun :P)… Chinta tried to cross the falls… slipped… but hung onto a branch and pulled himself up…Whew!!! Scared the hell out of everybody below…by the time we reached the Top…everybody were sitting and washing their feet in the Cool flowing water. Time : 3:15pm.

The view from the top was brilliant…could see Greenery for miles …a small muddy road which bought us to the place… and a small lake far far away… we sat there for 20 mins… on the other side was Bannergahta Forest.. .. there was electric fence ( and we`r all still alive so it means we didn’t climb over it :P) in beween…. The trek up was a tricky but a nice one… finally ended up on a huge rock… below that rock was one fall u would avoid… death fall for sure… but standing on that rock …the view was aamazing \m/

Everbody rested on the rock… Anoop, Ashok & myself continued further… the terrain got rough …steep rocks.. thorny shrubs made it more difficult… but at the end what do we get… 3 abandoned houses..
We explored the place… but left us wondering how the workers got all the materials tat hish and constructed the houses… then we headed back to join back the others.

Then the trek down began, we kinda forgot the route we came… so “Where there is a path , there is a way” became the motto…so followed path filled with thick trees and shrubs… was totally like a forest… but at the end.. we were at the bottom of the falls without even taking the risk of climbing down alongside the falls :D

RIDE BACK:

Went back to our bike to find the poor ajji still waiting for us…. Hmm felt bad… payed her well for looking after our bikes ( but still checked our bikes :P) …. “Ajji ki Jai \m/” She felt very happy and headed back … & so did we… another 4kms of bumpy ride… and smooth steady ride … took us back to the entrance of the NICE road… the ride on the NICE road felt real good… the sun was going down…we made back to the bakery at about 5: 15 pm…
Had tea , juice etc etc… and finally left back to our respective houses.. filled with content…An afternoon very well spent….

Bangloreans who’r still wondering about whether this place exists… YEAH IT DOES… all snaps are 100% pakka… no illusions :P :P
Until next time… Ciao \m/
