IN LESS THAN 50 WORDS:
Alight this was the 3rd run for the month of March’12 & it had been quite a while since I got this kind of rush. This was a short run to our favourite spot Kanva for quick swim to take a break from our college fest.
INTRO & PLAN:
It had been only 4 days since our last run to Somnathpura & Srirangapatna. As we had 3 days fest in our college we decided to allot the second day for a ride. So on the second day I went early loafed around the college. As the day progressed, the temperature shot up & thought of cooling down occurred. So asked others about their call on the trip.
TIME: 09:00 hrs
ASSEMBLE:
I went bakery and sent a text to others. Once the core arrived we tried to pitch in a few more people. So with a crew consisting of 7 people we departed Bengaluru after a light lunch near college.
TIME: 13:45 hrs
RIDE 1: (Bengluru – Kanva)
So.., this was a flat 60kms stretch on our home ground SH-17. All 4 bikes cruised along back to back at a decent pace to reach Ramnagar. After moving on further we bought a few bottles of water and took a right deviation from the highway to reach the cold waters of Kanva.
TIME: 15:15 hrs
KANVA:
Well as we reached the reservoir the sun was right up & shining brightly. So without wasting anytime we jumped into the water. After a few minutes of warm up swimming, we started playing the evergreen ‘donkey’ game with a half filled water bottle. The games went on for about 1.5 hours & we decided to get out to dry up.
After drying up under the hot sun we left Kanva.
TIME: 17:00 hrs
RIDE 2: (Kanva – Dhaba – Bengluru)
Once we left Kanva, we decided to stop at our regular stop Kanva Dhaba for some heavy lunch. But unfortunately the dhaba was closed so we decided to eat elsewhere. Once we reached the new dhaba, we ordered food right away and after waiting for 45mins we got bad food. We were all hungry so we just ate of and decided to leave.
Again we kept a decent pace, rode back to back and reached back bakery for some hot tea.
TIME: 19:30 hrs
After the tea we went back to college and hung around watching a few events here & there. Finally after about an hour we decided to head back home.
TIME: 20:30 hrs
Until next time Cya \m/
