IN LESS THAN 50 WORDS:

After a month’s break, this was a nice and short trek to Naraynagiri. Narayanagiri was a tough climb 8-9 years back -Narayanagiri 2013 Trek. But now steps have been carved out making it a very climb. The view from the top is excellent.

INTRO & PLAN:

It was more than a month since our last trip. So, decided to keep this one short and simple. Koof was on the confirmed list. With the early morning rains, we had to have PLAN B and PLAN C in mind. And more importantly, if things didn’t go well, the last resort was to ride somewhere in Bangalore, have breakfast, return home, and sleep.

TIME: 20:00 (16/8/2024)

ASSEMBLE & LEAVE:

Oh yeah, woke up at about 3 am, stretched out a little, sipped coffee went to Koof place about 20mins and was waiting. Then a white cat was sitting nearby. I played around with it for a while, once Koof arrived we left Bangalore.

TIME: 06:00

RIDE 1: (Bangalore – Dobbaspete – Madhugiri – Madakasira Fort)

This was a 65-70km ride, in between we got lost in twice haha. As we started off, we cruised slowly until Bidadi discussing various things. Once we reached our regular Tatte idly spot, we pulled over. It had been a while since we had breakfast at this place.

TIME: 07:00

After a nice, good breakfast, we headed towards Ramnagara. As we reached the town, we got mesmerised by the old mysore road and we were drawn into it. Old memories on this road are just too overwhelming. Then we realized we had taken about 10km detour. We took a right turn at Ramnagar and proceeded further asking for directions from locals and reached the base of the hillock.

TIME: 09:00

NARAYANAGIRI TREK:

The trek was very easy. There are steps carved until the top. Usually, we don’t like such places, but this one was different. Less people as the place is relatively unknown and the view from the top was very good. Hence yeah, we enjoyed it. We climbed up in less than 20 minutes, so not a very big hillock.

TIME: 09:30

TOP:

At the top there is one temple. The surrounding view was simply brilliant, lush greenery and light winds all around. We just found a nice view point and crashed down. We rested on top of the hillock for 30mins and decided to head back

TIME: 10:30

TREK DOWN:

The trek down was faster than the climb up. Non-stop we made to the bike, took a toll on our knees but hey, that’s what we were there for in the first place. Once we were back to the town of Jalamangala, we pulled over at a bakery for some Sting. After which it was a smooth ride back until we reached back Bangalore.

TIME: 11:30

It took us about 30min to cover about 5km, unnecessary flyovers, underpasses has been seriously screwing up the traffic from bad to worse. Dropped Koof back home and returned back home for a good sleep.

TIME 12:00

Until next time, Cia and CHEERS \m/

Between writings like "Abhi Luvs Esha" / " Anoop luvs Rekha" to the below image... - we all grew up :P
